A free watercolour step-by-step worksheet
with a pen/ink addition.(click on pic)
These watercolour worksheets were created by me for my
private art classes some over 10 years ago now. I am
releasing many of them now for free.
The present coronavirus pandemic is said to last for
months and I hope these worksheets might help those of
you who like painting, to get through the present crises.
They are a bit clunky, here and there to start with as I
improve them. They were designed for my watercolour
class with me demonstrating. However, there is much
information on the sheets to work independently and even
develop the subject photo or painting in your own way.
I am hoping to add more and more with time. I will see how
things go.
I thought of ‘art therapy for hedgehogs’ to describe all of
the people bedded down at home and isolated?
The artwork might help to fill the time and might even be
enjoyable. Feel free to email me your efforts.

I have over 50 worksheets to go at! They were very
successful with students at the time.
Most are around Plymouth, Cornwall and Devon. A few from
Continental holidays.
More to come soon.

Worksheet and Template
This lovely old church is where Sir
Francis Drake was married and one
of my daughters a little later!
I first made a sketch on watercolour
paper sitting in the middle of the
road that goes round the Green.
Thankfully the weather was good
and I completed the watercolour
the next day. It has been a popular
painting, but not that easy to get a
good result. Good luck.
